the refugees

a search for home

Home

It must be quite difficult for many of us who have a home and a place to belong to understand that there are millions of stories behind the refugee phenomenon that is etched into our memory with ships full of people. If you are a father or a mother, or if you carry the responsibility of a sibling who has managed to strengthen their sense of security with your existence, if you can imagine their being far away from you, alone, hungry and cold, and that their hopes of reuniting with you are not enough to warm them, then you will be able to understand the situation of refugees in the world a little bit better.

Eyes & Hunter

When you step into the homes of these refugees who have barely managed to find a way for themselves in Turkey or other countries, you will be faced with the reality that the children inside the house that a family is trying to build have more observational skills than a photographer.

Stolen Breath

Perhaps the reason for this is that observation, which is a tool of recognition for a child, has become the greatest driver of survival for the children here.

Welcome Borders

A smile graces the face of the intellectually disabled man in the madrassa, having crossed endless lands to reach this place where the Quran, hadith, fiqh, and logic are taught. He encounters the man who values him, yet appears different. In the background, a child with piercing eyes is busy trying to understand the intentions of the man.

My Future

Hide My Rage

However, it seems like every silent refugee family is unknowingly raising children who will ask questions of the world and become the hosts of the whole world.
